The brief

Donna and Billy wanted a new kitchen for their home in Blackcastle Naval. They had a clear sense of what they didn't want — a generic, off-the-shelf layout — but needed someone who would listen carefully to the brief and translate it into a design that actually worked for their space. The priority was a kitchen that suited how they lived in the house, with a finish that would hold up over time.

Key requirements

  • A design tailored to the specific dimensions and character of the room
  • Storage and layout planned around how Donna and Billy actually use the kitchen
  • Top-class workmanship and a high-standard finish throughout
  • A reliable, communicative process from design through to final fit

The design response

1.Listening before drawing

The first step wasn't measurements — it was a conversation about how the kitchen is used every day. Which side do you prep on? Where do you want the bin? Do you eat in here or next door? That conversation shaped every decision that followed, from the position of the island to the height of the wall cabinets.

2.A layout that suits the space, not a catalogue

The room had proportions that a standard kitchen would fight. We drew the layout from scratch to work with the existing window position, door swing, and natural light. The result is a kitchen where nothing feels forced or compromised — every run of cabinetry has a reason for being where it is.

3.Reliable from start to finish

Donna and Billy wanted to know what was happening and when. We kept them updated at every stage — when materials were arriving, when each phase would start, and what to expect next. Turning up when we said we would isn't a bonus; it's how the job runs.

The result

A kitchen Donna and Billy are genuinely happy with — designed around their brief, finished to a high standard, and delivered without hassle. Tony would have no hesitation recommending the same approach to any homeowner looking for a straightforward, high-quality kitchen fit.

In their own words

“I'd happily recommend Tony for the great job he did designing and fitting my kitchen. He was easy to deal with from start to finish, listened to what I wanted, and came up with a design that really suited the space. The workmanship was top class and everything was finished to a high standard. He kept me updated along the way, turned up when he said he would, and made the whole job straightforward and hassle-free. I'm very happy with how it turned out and would have no problem recommending Tony to anyone looking to get a new kitchen done.”
